Ergonomia e antropometria num automóvel de pequenas dimensões

The dependence of Man on the car is today an unquestionable reality. It has become an object that acts as a sort of “extension of the body”, that is, that increasingly defines the status and even personality of the owner, relegating to the background the utilitarian and practical aspects. Since the ultimate goal of the presented project is related to the development of a small city automobile which is economically and for on-road use, all aspects related to ergonomics and anthropometry should be taken into account, providing the main focus of this work. Also concerning the expected type of use, a caveat should be taken on the imperative of a solution thoroughly dimensioned in terms of internal space, where the transport of up to four people over short / medium distances for everyday use is the focus. However, it should also provide the possibility of modularity for whichever variations in the sporadic type of use that it might have. Within this field, the focus on ergonomics and anthropometry is paramount, as disciplines that study and improve the integration and interaction of Man within the surrounding world, one of the key points for the approach of this project to reality.
