A survey on ergonomics of ATCT in China

Airport Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) ergonomics determines the humanization design effect of Human Machine Interface (HMI), and the inconsistence of HMI is a leading cause of air traffic controller errors. In this paper, an evaluation index system of ATCT ergonomics is given and applied in China. This survey is useful and helpful for the formulation of unified ATCT ergonomics standards and improving controllers' working conditions in the future.
