Evidence of the anisotropically developed antiferromagnetic spin fluctuation in CeFe2 under high pressures

2002
Abstract The magnetization measurement of single-crystal CeFe 2 under hydrostatic pressures up to 8 kbar indicates that the magnetization is quite anisotropically suppressed at 5 K even in the cubic symmetry by applying the hydrostatic pressure, while the neutron diffraction studies indicate that the static Fe magnetic moment is suppressed to be only half of that under P =1 bar at 5 K and the antiferromagnetic spin fluctuation with a propagation vector q =( 1 2 , 1 2 , 1 2 ) is enhanced by applying hydrostatic pressure of 15 kbar.
