the effects of a healthy breakfast yoga program on social competence and antisocial behavior in school age children with adhd

2018
1. Abstract This article presents results of the “Good Day-Good Start Program,” an 8-week intervention designed to improve social competence and reduce antisocial behavior among elementary students diagnosed with ADHD. The intervention contained two components, a nutritious breakfast free of processed foods and sugar and yoga exercises and guided visualization designed to teach the students attention and relaxation. After the eight-week intervention, the students’ overall social competence mean score increased and the overall antisocial mean score decreased as measured by the School Social Behavior Scale (2 nd  ed.) 2.
