The Bragg gap on one-dimensional composite right/left-handed transmission line

2005
A composite right/left-handed (CRLH) transmission line (TL) is studied. The relationship between metamaterials and photonic crystal on one-dimensional composite right/left-handed transmission line can be invented by varying the length of right-handed section. In this paper, the nonperiodic structure is applied on the CRLH transmission line with the random length of the unit cell, but the total length of the TL is fixed. It is showed that Bragg's gap with photonic crystal characteristics arises from the periodic structure of CRLH transmission line.
