Two peas in a pod... or not? Investigating Lexical and Phonological Attrition Effects in Monozygotic Twins

This study has looked at the short-term attrition effects of one monozygotic twin sister (with the other one not having moved abroad) within the lexical and phonological domain. It was found that attrition effects were noticeable in both domains although much more clearly in the phonological realm, also indicating that the lexicon has been mostly spared from L1 attrition effects.
