Micro-Credit Advances by Zarai Taraqiyati Bank Limited and its Effect on Socio-Economic Development of Farmer’s Community in Dir Lower

The impact of loan extensions from Zari Taraqiyati Bank Limited (ZTBL) on farm production, farmer income, savings, and standard of living in tehsil Adenzai, district Dir Lower, was explored. A sample size of 70 respondents was chosen using the Proportional Allocation method. Structured questionnaires and face-to-face interaction were used to collect data. A paired t-test was used to explain the results. The effect of credit provision on total maize crop output, farmer income, and savings was studied using a paired t-test. The credit had been correctly utilised for the aim of farm output, according to the findings. The findings revealed a considerable beneficial link between loan advances and farm productivity.Credit advances also resulted in a large increase in farmer income, savings, and living standards. Potential difficulties included a lengthy process, a high interest rate on the loan, and a lack of ZTBL branches. To make the process easier, the beneficiaries suggested a simplified loaning method, simple terms and conditions, a lower interest rate, and more branches.
