Ink-stones: Shaped like a lute, Ch'in-yang-yen (qin yang yan)

This ink-stone is carved to represent the ancient seven-stringed lute, ku-ch'in (guqin). Both ends of the strings are shown, but in the middle the place where the ink should be rubbed, is carved out. On the right side seven studs are visible. The correct number would be thirteen
