Multi-Stage Capacity Configuration Approach for Regional Integrated Energy System

2020
A multi-stage capacity configuration approach for a regional integrated energy system (RIES) is studied in this paper. With the aim of minimizing the total cost, multi-stage capacity configuration model for RIES is established. This approach divides the planning cycle of RIES into multiple stages, and gradually increases the configuration capacity of each equipment in the area according to the year-by-year growth characteristics of the load to reduce the investment cost and energy purchase cost from the external grid and natural gas network. Case study results show that this approach can reduce the configuration capacity of equipment and improve the economic benefits of RIES.
