The role of the pottery in the Neolithisation of Central Europe

Pottery is considered to be an artifact connected with the transition to farming. However, several examples in Eurasia challenge this traditional view. In this paper we are considering the potential role of pottery in the process of the Neolithisation based on the unusual pottery from Santovka dated to the transition of the Mesolithic and Neolithic.
