Measurement and Characterization

2001
In this chapter, we outline the principles on which the measurement of the transport properties of thermoelectric materials are based. Then, we describe some of the practical techniques that have been used. The description is not meant to be exhaustive, and undoubtedly there are other pieces of apparatus that are at least as accurate and convenient as those that have been selected as illustrative examples. However, as in the other chapters in Part I of this text, we intend to emphasize principles rather than current practice.
