This article analyzes the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on food security and the right to food in Panama. It starts with a theoretical analysis of the concepts of food security and the right to food, studying their development and regulation at the national and international levels. Subsequently, it conducts an analysis on the situation in which Panama found itself, with reference to both concepts, prior to the pandemic. Finally, it determines the impact of the pandemic on this problem and analyzes the effectiveness of Panama's response.
