Camac-compatible 16-channel counter module

This paper describes a 16-channel 24-bit pulse counter implemented in a double-width CAMAC module. A considerable reduction of hardware is achieved by combining simultaneous parallel counting through all channels and high-speed serial data output from each channel by adding to each counter up to overflow with simultaneous counting of the number of additional pulses in an auxiliary counter. A block diagram of the 16-channel counter module is shown.
