Second Harmonic Generation in Femtosecond Laser-Produced Plasmas

Reflected second harmonic with a conversion of 10−4 is observed. The spectra show a multicomponent structure dependent on the angle of incidence. In pump probe experiments we detect maxima of the probe pulse second harmonic a few picoseconds after the pump pulse.
