REFLEX: Face Micro-Expression Recognition System for TV Content Curation

2016
REFLEX is a service that reads and translates emotions through facial micro-expressions using a recognition system and an integrated content curating service. Using a camera attached to the user's television, REFLEX can recommend content based on these micro-expressions to help improve the user's current mood. (Ex. If the user is feeling sad, comedic content would be recommended by the service) The system is connected to several content providers accessible to the user within a unified interface. The camera will persistently track the user's expressions throughout the content viewing experience; therefore enhancing the data used to track such emotions.
