Quantum states of a magnetic dipole in the magnetic field of a rectilinear current

Abstract We determine analytically the bound states of a neutral pointlike particle with a magnetic dipole moment in the magnetic field of a rectilinear current filament. A specific integral transformation enables us to obtain the wavefunctions in a convenient way.
