Influence of stress and secondary orientation on the oxidation-induced dynamic recrystallization behavior of a Ni-based single crystal superalloy
2017
Abstract The stress and orientational dependence of the oxidation-induced dynamic recrystallization of a Ni-based single crystal superalloy during high temperature creep were investigated. Cellular recrystallization appeared on the surface of the sample because of the oxidation-induced γ′-free layer. With the increase of the stresses, the depths of the recrystallized layers increased at first and then decreased. Besides, the tendency of recrystallization in orientation was stronger than that in orientation under the same load. The underlying mechanisms are discussed in this study.
