The Pursuit of Happiness at Work: How and Why Family-Supportive Supervisor Behaviors Matter (WITHDRAWN)

2016
The current study contributes to the literatures on FSSB and job crafting by highlighting employee job crafting as an explanation of the relationship between FSSB and employee health outcomes. Grounded in the Conservation of Resources (COR) theory, we hypothesized that FSSB would be associated with employee mental and physical health through job crafting. Our propositions were tested using data collected at three points from 877 Chinese employees. The results demonstrate that FSSB (Time 1) was positively related to both employee mental and physical health (Time 3). Furthermore, the results also revealed that employee job crafting (Time 2) partially mediated this relationship. We highlight the implications our findings for both researchers and practitioners.
