A visão dos gestores de repositórios. O caso da Universidade de Coimbra

EnglishOpen Access Movement is an important achievement to the chan-ges of the process of communicating science. One of the most relevant aspects that resulted from the Open Access Movement was the emergence of the digital repositories of university institu-tions, with the aim of preserving and maximising the impact of the research carried out, enabling new research models and contributing to the recognition of the institutions.Pathways opened, crossed and questioned not only among those who do science but also between them and society, contribute to the assertion of Open Science. In Portugal, academic institutions have followed this Movement, with the support of the project Repositorios Cientificos de Acesso Aberto. The construction of these institutional repositories was an important contribution to the assertion of Open Access and the management process of these repositories is crucial for their enhancement and strengthening. In this contribution, we propose to address the role of the repository’s manager, the different aspects involved and the impor-tance of it’s performance to the development and sustainability of the institutional repositories. As a case study, we present “Estudo Geral”, the repository of the University of Coimbra, Portugal. portuguesO Movimento do Acesso Aberto e uma importante referencia na transformacao do processo de comunicar a ciencia. Um dos aspetos mais relevantes que resultou do Movimento do Acesso Aberto foi o aparecimento dos repositorios digitais das instituicoes universitarias, com o intuito de preservar e maximizar o impacto da investigacao realizada, possibilitando novos modelos de investigacao e contri-buindo para a afirmacao identitaria das instituicoes. Os caminhos que se abrem, que se cruzam e que se interpelam nao apenas entre aqueles que fazem ciencia, mas tambem entre estes e toda a sociedade, concorrem para a afirmacao da Ciencia Aberta. Em Portugal, o conjunto das instituicoes de ensino superior tem acompanhado este Movimento com o apoio do projeto Repositorios Cientificos de Acesso Aberto. A criacao dos repositorios institucionais foi um importante contributo para a afirmacao do Acesso Aberto e o processo de gestao desses repositorios e determinante para a sua valorizacao e consolidacao.
