Evaluation of cow urine + plant extracts against the cabbage aphid Brevicoryne brassicae

2020
Field experiments were conducted during rabi 2017 and 2018 at the Vegetable Research Farm, College of Agriculture, Central Agricultural University, Imphal to evaluate the efficacy of cow-urine + indigenous plant extracts against cabbage aphid Brevicoryne brassicae. The results revealed that three sprays of Neemazal T/S (azadirachtin 1500 ppm) @ 1500 ml/ha was the most effective with minimum aphid counts of 28.92 aphids/plant (2017) and 28.94/plant (2018), respectively. The yield (21.88 t/ha and 22.50 t/ha) was also maximum with this treatment.
