In this paper, Defected GroundStructure (DGS) microstrip patch antenna using Com plementary Split Ring Resonator (CSRR)is designed and analysed. The aim to design such type antenna is to achieve multiband application which is the demand of current technology. Here Microstrippatch antenna with rectangle shape o f patch with patch dimensio n 50◊50 mm 2 is analysed. The proposed design is tuned with sevenbands in the fre quency range of 1 �5 GHz depending on the geometric specification of antenna and the location of feed which can be used for multiband applications. Design results of VSWR, Retu rn loss (S 11), Radiation Pattern are shown in this paper which isobtained by High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS).
