Das Verhalten von Fulminaten an der tropfenden Quecksilberelektrode

1970
Summary The properties of mercury and sodium fulminates were investigated in 25% V/V methanolic solution under polarographic conditions. For mercury fulminate three cathodic steps were observed while for sodium fulminate one anodic and two cathodic steps were obtained. These steps were explained in terms of the electrode reactions. From polarographic data the complex formation constants of Hg(CNO) 2 and [Hg(CNO) 4 ] 2− , as well as the dissociation constant of fulminic acid, were calculated. The behaviour of the anodic step of sodium fulminate at high depolarizer concentrations led to more certain information about the dimerization of fulminates in alkaline medium.
