Goldsmith and the art of indirect biography

An analysis of the way details of Goldsmith's life may, or may not, be discovered from his literary works, both of fiction and non fiction. In particular, I show how many previously unmentioned details may be gleaned from his History of the Earth and Animated Nature (1774).
