The engineered nanomaterials due to their extraordinary properties are being used extensively in both commercial products and biomedical applications, thereby leading to increased exposure to consumers and patients. Therefore, understanding biological effects induced by nanomaterials is crucial for their safety assessment and to avail their maximum benefits. Though many investigations have been made to evaluate the effect of nanoparticles (NPs) on behavior, physiology, survival, and fertility, the possible effect of nanoparticle exposure on metabolism is yet to be fully understood.
