Apparatus and method for detecting defects in continuously produced float glass

2010
Method and apparatus for detecting flaws in a continuously produced float glass ribbon by means of the examination of a transverse to the conveying direction extending, observed in transmitted light glass strip, characterized in that it comprises the following features: a) the flow of a float glass ribbon is continuously monitored by means of a modularly constructed mounting bridge and mounted thereon scanning sensors and two transversely arranged to the glass ribbon fluoroscopic means, b) each scan sensor can be aligned by means of an adjusting device according to the spatial coordinates 3 in positive and negative directions and fine-tune in the form of an artificial measurement plane by means of a retractable target device, c) the lamps are cooled by a cooling device.
