Fusion Power Reactor Studies in the European Community

1992
AbstractThe need to quantify the safety and environmental advantages of fusion power has been the main reason for undertaking power reactor studies in recent years. Studies of tokamak reactor parameters, based on economic optimisations, undertaken in support of a review of the Community Fusion Programme in 1990 are summarised, and proposals for more extensive studies in preparation for the next review are discussed. In addition, details are presented of studies of tight aspect ratio tokamak reactors.
