Impacto del entorno social en el robo a microempresas del área metropolitana de Monterrey

2018
This article presents a characterization of microenterprises in the metropolitan area of Monterrey, with data from the Attorney General's Office of Nuevo Leon and the newspaper El Norte of 2016, using two discrete binary election models, logit and probit, which obtain the effects of location and neighborhood on the probability of being robbed with violence. The results show that the social environment is a decisive factor for this type of crime; characteristics such as the distance to a hospital and areas with high marginalization increase this probability, while the proximity to parks, roads and police stations decreases it.
