Toxicological profile of Indian foods—ensuring food safety in India

Abstract The chapter provides an insight into the present scenario of contamination and adulteration of various food products in India. It covers toxicological aspects related to foods that affect human health. The present regulations have not been completely effective in the prevention of food contamination. As lives are at risk, there is an urgent need to address this issue in virtually all kinds of foods in India.
