Bilinear Predictive Controllers Applied in an Induction Motor Machine

This paper presents a comparative analysis of the dynamic performance between the bilinear predictive controllers, bilinear predictive, linear predictive and a classical PI applied to a nonlinear plant constituted by an induction motor. The modeling of induction motor is performed through the indirect guidance according to the rotor flow. The system consists of an induction motor three-phase of 2.2 kW, 4 poles, 60 Hz with the rotor in cage, driven by a test bench located in the Laboratory of Machine Drive of UFRN. Dynamic results are presented for a variation of ± 5% of the mechanical speed value and for a variation of ± 10% in the value of the load applied to the motor shaft. The results showed that the bilinear predictive controller produced better dynamics and was more representative when compared to the linear, linear predictive and PI controllers.
