Control Law Design of the Surface Damage Aircraft Based on Incremental Dynamic Inversion

In this paper, the incremental nonlinear dynamic inversion (INDI) was applied to the design of angular rate control law to improve the robustness of the control system. Firstly, the control structure of the INDI was deduced and its robustness was analyzed. Subsequently, the angular rate controller design based on the INDI was completed, and the influence of surface damage on the aircraft was analyzed. Finally, the simulation performance of the designed angular rate controller was verified under the surface damage fault. The simulation results demonstrated that the INDI control has strong robustness, and the controller based on this method can achieve the desired control effect.
