Message from ADPNA-2014 Workshop Organizers

Welcome to the 8th International Workshop on Advanced Distributed and Parallel Network Applications (ADPNA-2014). ADPNA-2014 is being held in conjunction with the 17-th International Conference on Network-Based Information Systems (NBiS-2014) at Salerno, Italy, from September 10th to September 12th, 2014. The purpose of the ADPNA-2014 Workshop is to bring together developers and researchers to share ideas and research work in the emerging areas of distributed and parallel network applications. The papers included in the proceedings cover aspects of theory, design, and application of distributed and parallel network systems and applications. ADPNA-2014 contains high-quality research papers submitted by researchers. Each submitted paper was peer-reviewed by Program Committee members who are experts in the subject area of the paper. For organizing an international symposium, the support and help of many people is needed. First, we would like to thank all of the authors for submitting their papers. We also appreciate the support from Program Committee members and reviewers who carried out the most difficult work of carefully evaluating the submitted papers. We would like to give our special thanks to the Steering Committee Chairs of the NBiS-2014 conference for their strong encouragement and guidance to organize the ADPNA-2014 workshop. We would like to thank NBiS-2014 General Co-Chairs, Program Co-Chair and Workshops Co-Chairs, for their support and strong encouragement and guidance in organizing the workshop.
