Review and preview of typological research on internal semantic relationship of compound numerals

To review and preview foreign typological researches on semantic relationships between components of compound numerals,literature review was made of relative studies in the field of linguistics.Findings show that their researches are mainly focused on the following four aspects: 1) semantic relationship types;2) formal realization;3) ordering of components;4) entry requirements.There is still room for further study in each aspect and for a deeper and more comprehensive study in the last three.Further studies about the four aspects can be done in the following areas respectively: whether the semantic relationship of division exists or not in the 1st aspect,more formal realizations of different semantic relationships and their distribution in the second aspect,ordering features of components in multiplication and subtraction as well as their entry requirements in the third and fourth aspects.
