Dielectric wakefield structure-based, nondestructive proton beam transverse position and profile monitor

We propose the development of a non-destructive, dielectric wakefield structure-based monitor for proton or ion beam transverse position and profile, for bunches as found at facilities such as the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory. The monitor should provide high-speed computer-compatible measurements and real-time monitoring and readout of particle beam intensity and position.
