Establishment and Application of Reverse Transcriptase-Ploymerase Chain Reaction for Sendai Virus

Objective To establish a reverse transcriptase ploymerase chain reaction method for Sendai virus and to utilize the RT-PCR for diagnosis of Sendai virus affected samples.Methods PCR primes were designed according to fusion protein gene of Sendai virus(gi:9627219).The 609 bp product was obtained with the template from Sendai virus.8 mice infected Sendai virus and 16 cells for detecting were detected by RT-PCR.Results 609 bp fragment were amplified from 8 mice and 12 in 16 cells.Conclusion The results showed the developed RT-PCR was a rapid, reliable,sensitive and specific method of detecting Sendai virus.
