A novel organic-inorganic hybrid built upon Keggin-type cluster of [SiMo12O40]4− and {Cu(pic)2} units with electrochemical sensing of nitrite

2020
Abstract A new organic-inorganic hybrid, H2[H2N(CH3)2]2[Cu(pic)2][SiMo12O40]·4H2O (1) [Hpic = 2-picolinic acid] was synthesized and structurally characterized, in which the Keggin-type [SiMo12O40]4- clusters arrange alternately with {Cu(pic)2} units to constitute a two-dimensional (2D) framework. The Copper(II) center located in {Cu(pic)2} groups are four-coordinated and connected with two pic- ligands from opposite sides. The influence of pH and scan rate on the electrochemical behaviour of 1 is investigated in detail. Compound 1 modified electrode exhibits a wide linear range, high sensitivity and low detection limit for the electrochemical detection of NO2-.
