Counter Directional Optical Network using Ribbon Fiber

This ring optical network concept is meant for smaller platforms incorporating a source module and transmit / receive nodes. Source signals arise from a source bank. To transmit, a source fiber is connected with a receiving fiber in a node. The signal is modulated and then travels in the reverse direction. There is substantial flexibility in the source signal type, individual fiber type, none-to-node protocol, and modulation type.
