FUNGSI KEGIATAN EKONOMI MELINTAS BATAS NEGARA (Studi Komunitas Kampung Skouw Sae, Distrik Muara Tami, Kota Jayapura)

Penelitian tentang fungsi kegiatan ekonomi melintas batas negara warga komunitas Kampung Skouw Sae, Distrik Muara Tami, Kota Jayapura berpijak pada dua thesis besar yakni kegiatan tersebut berkaitan dengan pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar, kelembagaan dan simbolisme Kedua, terdapat faktor pendorong dan penarik melintas batas di daerah asal dan daerah tujuan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi serta observasi partisipasi di daerah asal dan daerah tujuan dilakukan Juli tahun 2009. Secara intensif, penelitian lapangan dilakukan selama 7 bulan. Subyek penelitian adalah informan kampung tersebut yang sering melintas batas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fungsi kegiatan ekonomi melintas batas negara adalah, pertama, untuk pengadaan beras, daging, serta telur guna pemenuhan kebutuhan nutrisi keluarga. Kedua, untuk kegiatan pembayaran mas kawin guna pemenuhan kebutuhan reproduksi untuk mempertahankan kontinyuitas kelompok. Ketiga, untuk kegiatan pembayaran kepala guna pemenuhan kebutuhan kenyamanan dan kesejahteraan keluarga perempuan yang meninggal.Keempat, untuk pembelian minuman saat perayaan Natal tiap tahun serta kegiatan perayaan dalam rumah adat guna pemenuhan kebutuhan keselamatan. Kelima, untuk kegiatan piknik tiap liburan sekolah guna pemenuhan kebutuhan relaksasi individu.Keenam, untuk kunjungan pemberian ucapan atas pengangkatan kepala kampung Wutung guna pemenuhan kebutuhan gerakan mendekatkan hubungan kedua kepala kampung.Terakhir untuk menunjang kegiatan pendidikan dalam keluarga serta lembaga pendidikan formal guna pemenuhan kebutuhan pertumbuhan.Kesimpulannya, fungsi kegiatan ekonomi melintas batas negara adalah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan dasar, kelembagaan serta simbolisme warga setempat. Research on the function of economic activity crossing the border of the community of Kampung Skouw Sae community, Muara Tami District, Jayapura City is based on two big theses namely activities related to the fulfillment of basic needs, institutional and symbolism. Secondly, there are factors pushing and pulling across borders in the area of origin and Destination area. Data was collected using observation method and participant observation in the area of origin and destination was conducted in July 2009. Intensively, field research was conducted for 7 months. The subject of the research is the village informant who often cross the boundary. The results show that the function of economic activity across national borders is, first, for the procurement of rice, meat, and eggs to meet the nutritional needs of the family. Second, for the dowry payment to fulfill the reproduction needs to maintain group continuity. Third, for the head payment activities to meet the needs of the comfort and welfare of the families of women who died.Fourth, for the purchase of beverages during Christmas celebrations each year as well as activities in the traditional house in order to meet the needs of safety. Fifth, for picnic activities every school holidays to meet the needs of individual relaxation. Sixth, for the visit of speech over the appointment of the head of Wutung village to meet the needs of the movement closer the relationship between the two village heads. Last to support educational activities in the family and formal education institutions to meet the needs of growth. In conclusion, the function of economic activity across national borders is to meet the basic needs, institutions and symbolism of local residents.
