Variation of isozyme in natural population of chinese pine

The genetic structure of 12 natural populations of Chinese pine in four areas was analyzed by using isozyme technique based on the seeds of 12 population in four areas. The results showed that the EST isozyme consisted of three polymorphic loci: EST-A, EST-B and EST-C on the average; 100% of the loci were polymorphic; the number of alleles perlocus was 3.917, and the expected heterozygosity was 0.594, which showed that higher variation existed among various populations.
