AMBIENTES VIRTUAIS DE APRENDIZAGEM NA FORMAÇÃO CONTINUADA A DISTÂNCIA DE PROFESSORES: RELATO DE UMA EXPERIÊNCIA

This article researched the potential of continuous teachers training through distance education mediated by Moodle. From this perspective, it was approached the hypermediatic integration of technologies in virtual learning environment in the post graduation course of Midias na Educacao. Thus, it was selected one lesson offered in this course in the first semester of 2011 by Federal University of Santa Maria, where the article’s author worked as a teacher-tutor. Then, a study was conducted based on a qualitative approach through participant observation. It was noticed that the hypermedia empowers the interaction, the interactivity and students’ development of cognitive flexibility. In this sense, it was also observed that navigation in an educational hypermedia regarding the rhythm and ways of each learner, because it allows the topics to be studied are accessed in a non-linear way. That is, according to the interest of each learner and through different media. So, it enabled students make several associations between different inter-related subjects, providing an expanded perspective on the educational issues discussed in the course and later they could apply this knowledge in new teaching and learning situations.
