Magneto-optical survey of 1st and 2nd sub-bands in chirality specific (6, 5) single-walled carbon nanotube up to 190T

2013
The magneto-optical absorption spectra of single chirality (6, 5) single-walled carbon nanotubes were investigated for both the first (E11) and second (E22) sub-band transitions, in magnetic fields of up to 190 T generated by the single-turn coil method. The results show that the dark exciton level lies at a higher energy side than that of the bright exciton for E22, whilst vise versa for E11 transition.
