Test and Calculation of the Total Electrical Field at Ground Level for ±500kV HVDC Overhead Transmission Line

The distribution rules of the total electrical field at ground level of ±500kV HVDC Lines are investigated through combination of test and simulation methods, in which, the parameters for simulation are also discussed. The result of field test is consistent with the result of simulation, so the validity of simulation based on Deutsch method has been verified. Further-more, the Deutsch method can provide technical support in preliminary design, environmental impact assessment and environmental protection acceptance of HVDC transmission lines.
