The Influence of Transition Alloy Layer on Microstructure Propertiesof Laser Multi-layer Bead Welding

2004
Using 45# steel as matrix material, the laser bead welding experiment is proceeded by adding transition alloy cladding layer and choosing special welding wire in the case of no proheating. The added alloying agents change the percentage of Austenite in the laser cladding layer, so increasing the plasticity and ductility of the matrix and bead welding layer, and then depressing the cracks. Meanwhile, alloying agents can form carbides, so the hardness of bead welding layer is increased.
