PAPR Analysis of OFDM System Based on Adaptive Clipping Algorithm and DHT Precoding

To solve the problem brought by high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system, a joint PAPR reduction scheme based on adaptive clipping algorithm and DHT precoding (ACA-DHT) is proposed in this paper. In this scheme, we use a feedback mechanism based on statistical characteristics to improve the clipping threshold setting. When the complementary cumulative distribution function (CCDF) of PAPR is equal to 10-3, the PAPR values of our proposed scheme are 7.76dB, 5.75dB, 5.07dB, 4.04dB, 1.48dB and 0.51dB lower than those of OFDM system, PTS, SLM, clipping, DHT, DHT-clipping, respectively.
