Ultrafast electron transfer in an amino acid induced by attosecond pulses

We investigated the ultrafast charge-migration in the amino-acid phenylalanine. By measuring the yield of a doubly-charged ion vs. delay between a 1.5-fs XUV pulce and a 6-fs pulse, a 30-fs charge migration process was measured.
