PAPR Analysis of IFFT and DWT Based OFDM-IM System

Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) with index modulation (IM) is a recently developed modulation technique in which information is conveyed by the active subcarrier indices and constellation symbols. OFDM-IM offers many advantages but still, it suffers from the problem of high peak to average power ratio (PAPR). In this paper, the PAPR performance of OFDM-IM technique for inverse fast Fourier transform (IFFT) and Discrete wavelet transform (DWT) is shown. Besides, the simulations are also shown for PAPR of OFDM-IM based on look-up table logic. The simulation results show better PAPR performance for DWT OFDM-IM system as compared to the IFFT OFDM-IM system.
