Soil nutrient index at Lohara tahsil Osmanabad district (Maharashtra)

Studies were carried out on soil nutrient index and soil fertility of Lohara tahsil of Osmanabad district. The soils were alkaline in reaction and within safer limits of electrical conductivity. These soils were calcareous in nature, low to medium in organic carbon content, and low in available N, P, Sand Zn, while high in available K, exchangeable Ca++, Mg++ and DTPA-Fe, Mn and Cu.
