Anomalies in the Magnetic Properties of Ni3Ga Alloys

2008
The magnetic properties at temperatures up to 80K and in fields up to 350 kOe of a number of paramagnetic Ni3Ga alloys are reported. The results indicate that the magnetization as a function of field can be described very well in the Stoner model with the exception of magnetizations <4 emu./gram at low temperatures. The relatively rapid variation of the susceptibilities with temperature suggests a temperature dependence of the effective magnetic interaction.
