On the Well-off Society and the Elementary Education for the Poor Minorities in West China

Through an investigation in the poor and remote regions of west China, the author has found that there are three serious problems concerning the elementary education for the minority groups: the compulsory and elementary education there does not deserve its name, and the linguistic and cultural dilemmas. The author also discusses the relationship between social justice and the building of a well-off society for all, and puts forward some new perspectives for the study of the elementary education for the minority groups.
