Tourism development based potentioal of ancient caves in Eshkevar region of Rudsar country

Eshkevar, a submontane and mountainous region, has abundant natural and historical attractions, and has been ground of forming cultures and subcultures that are closely related to the location, environmental conditions and climate. however Anonymity, geographical restrictions and lack of determination for eliminating factors which hinder development of this region, has always prevented capabilities and capacity of this region to be known. among all attractions,the ones related to tectonics and special geological structures such as caves are enormous natural resources in Eshkevar and if introduced well can improve the tourism industry in this area. It should be noted that , heretofore, no important task has been done to improve geotourism in Eshkevar ,so achieving this goal requires a targeted plan. The aim of this study was to evaluate the capabilities and limitations of tourism based on caves in Eshkvar region in Rudsar county, Guilan Province and Also Submition of final proposals according to analysis and generalization of the findings of the study of five caves is the Considered geographical area. method used in this study is descriptive and analytical method. And by the study we are seeking answer to this question which whether the caves of Eshkever can be introduced as new destination for tourism? The results of this study showes that , however the caves has common geological and environmental properties, they have different levels of structural, visual and environmental attraction which promote different types of tourism such as Adventuresome , Athletic and scientific tourism, and ecotourism in the region. eliminating limitations of appropriate infrastructure and tourist facilities which are seen in the total study area, needs attention of the Government and participation of financiers .
