Analysis of soliton pulse train generation using step-like dispersion profiled optical fiber

The generation of high bit rate soliton pulse trains in a step-like dispersion profiled fiber is analyzed. The influence of the various parameters such as the number of segments, the segment length and the initial condition of the source on the quality of the generated soliton are investigated. >
